• Three (3) teams of three (3) people can register for the boatbuilding competition for Thursday July 24th, Friday July 25th or Saturday July 26th.
  • The competition will be open from 10am — 4pm Thursday through Saturday.
  • A race will take place at 5pm at the end of each day. The winner proceeds to Sunday's finals.
  • The building will take place in a 20'x 60' tent set up near the Maritime Museum (beside the bleachers).
  • There will be an emcee present throughout the day to encourage spectators and generally make a grand spectacle of the whole event
  • Teams can only use all natural, carbon based materials (no synthetics) and can spend no more than $200.00 on everything. Receipts must be provided the day of the event.
  • Each team is allowed one power tool (except chain saws — they are too loud).
  • The competition will be judged on the following categories: Audience favorites (the audience votes throughout the day), finishing time (how long it takes), and on the water race.
  • For the on the water race only 2 team members can be IN the boat and only the 3 team members can transport the boat to and from the water before and after the race.
  • All boats must be removed from the Park by 5pm on Sunday.
