Boarding Passes to Tour Vessels

Vessels open for tours Thursday, July 24 — Sunday, July 27 from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

Festival of Sail San Francisco is divided into three Villages, showcasing the Environmental, Educational, and International aspects of our Maritime history. Each Village will include several Tall Ships and other interesting vessels offering daily boarding and ship tours. Timed Tickets for boarding ships within a Village are available to anyone with a Boarding Wristband for that Village. You may purchase wristbands in advance for each day you plan to attend.

Tickets are available for a single Village for $10 which allows you to tour the vessels within that Village on the day selected. All Village Passes are available in limited quantity for $20. With so much activities and entertainment within each Village please review each Village's schedule to plan your day of fun.

Tickets are available online and in advance. Select the Buy Tickets button below to be taken to our ticketing website. Limited quantity tickets will be sold at the event. Avoid long lines and buy your tickets in advance. All sales are final.

Discounts: Seniors (65 and over) receive $2 off any ticket. Children under 5 free and must be accompanied by an adult.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

  • Timed tickets MUST be picked up at the vessel of choice early on boarding day.
  • Timed tickets are limited to the capacity of the vessel and are on a first come, first served basis.
  • Early arrivals in each Village get the best timed tickets to the most popular ships.
  • Please arrive at the ship's boarding area 15 minutes prior to the time on your ticket.
  • There will be a brief docent-led presentation for each ship prior to boarding.
  • Wear comfortable, non-slip shoes (no open toes / high heels) and bring a jacket.
  • For more information, see our Frequently Asked Questions page.

What Happens After You Purchase Your Ticket Online:

Once you purchase your tickets you will receive an email confirmation with a PDF file for all your tickets purchased. Print all your purchase confirmations (membership, village passes, excursions, as applicable) and bring them to the Box Office in the Village you will be visiting. The Box Office will scan the bar codes on the confirmations to verify the village and date (similar to how a concert ticket is issued), and you will then be issued a wristband allowing you to board the vessels within that Village.

Each village will have several ships available for you to board. Decide which ship(s) you wish to board and visit the ticket table close to the vessel. When you go to the ship, you will be issued a boarding pass for that ship. The pass will indicate the time you will be able to enter the pre-boarding area where a docent will be available to answer questions and give a brief history and information about the ship.

The Festival of Sail's timed ticket model will hopefully reduce the long wait lines typical for these events and allow you and your family time to explore and enjoy the multitude of activities and entertainment we are providing within each Village.

We look forward to seeing you July 23 — 27th!
